What Is HomelyCraft? The Studio, the Pieces and How to Order

If you have just found the name and want to know what it is: HomelyCraft is a small handmade studio in the United Kingdom that makes personalized gifts - engraved keepsake boxes, name plaques, photo frames, wooden signs and complete gift boxes. Every piece is made after it is ordered, carrying the names, dates, photographs or message the customer sends.

This page is the plain-English version of everything else on the site: what we make, where we are, how an order works, what it costs, and how to be sure you are looking at the real HomelyCraft rather than something using the same name.

What HomelyCraft makes

The range is deliberately narrow: objects made of wood, paper and glass that can carry an engraving and outlast the occasion they were bought for. Nothing in it is printed on demand by a third party.

The studio address is 231 Garstang Rd E, Poulton-le-Fylde, Lancashire FY6 7SY, United Kingdom. That is the address on our invoices and in the structured data on every page of this site.

We ship worldwide with tracking. Most orders go to the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the EU and the Gulf. Prices are set in pounds sterling and converted into your own currency automatically, using the day's exchange rate - the selector in the header lets you change it yourself.

How an order actually works

1. You personalize it. On the product page you add the names, the date, any message, and upload a photograph if the piece takes one.
2. We send a layout preview. Before anything is cut, you get a layout showing the exact spelling, spacing and size. Nothing is engraved until you approve it.
3. We make it. Engraved pieces take 3-5 working days; photo work and multi-item gift boxes take 5-7.
4. We pack and ship it. Tissue, ribbon, a rigid box and a message card in your words, then a tracked courier. If it is going straight to the recipient, the invoice stays out of the box.

What “handmade” means here, exactly

Wood is cut, engraved, sanded, finished and packed by hand in small batches. Some components are bought in - glass for frames, hinges, acrylic panels, LED bases, ceramic mugs - which is normal for handmade work and worth saying plainly rather than implying we mill our own glass.

Because the material is real wood, grain and tone vary between pieces. Two boards from the same tree do not match. That variation is the point, not a defect.

How to tell you are on the official HomelyCraft site

Brand names get reused online, and gift-shop names get reused more than most. If you want to be certain you are dealing with this studio, check three things:

• The website is homelycraft.online. That is the only site we sell from.
• The email address is hello@homelycraft.online. Every order confirmation, layout preview and reply comes from it.
• Orders are placed by sending your gift bag to the studio from this site - we reply with the layout preview, the delivery cost and payment options. Nothing is charged automatically on this website.

If you have seen the name somewhere else - a marketplace listing, a review page, a social account - it is not connected to this studio unless it links back to homelycraft.online. When in doubt, email us and ask; a person answers.

HomelyCraft reviews: what you will find, and what you will not

Our reviews page is currently empty, and that is deliberate. We are a new studio. We have not written reviews for ourselves, we have not bought any, and we will not put star ratings in search results until there are enough genuine ones to mean something.

When customer reviews do appear here they will be from real orders, published with permission, including any that are critical. Photographs of finished pieces will only ever be published if the customer says we may - plenty of personalized gifts are private.

It is worth saying the same about the photography on this site: the images are freely licensed stock photographs while our own pieces are being shot, every product page says so under the image, and the image credits page lists every one of them.

What HomelyCraft costs

Pieces run from about £39 for a small engraved keepsake to around £159 for a complete multi-item gift box, with most of the range between £65 and £115. Personalization is included in the price - there is no engraving surcharge - and gift packaging is included as standard.

Delivery is calculated at checkout from your address. UK orders over the threshold shown at the top of the site ship free; elsewhere, including the US, delivery is quoted. Customs duty, where a country charges it, is paid by the recipient.

Delivery, returns and the things people ask before ordering

Crafting takes 3-7 working days depending on the piece, then 1-2 working days in the UK, 3-6 to the US, Canada and the EU, and 5-10 elsewhere. Full detail is in the shipping policy.

Personalized items cannot be resold, so they are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. If a piece arrives damaged, or does not match the layout you approved, it is remade or refunded in full - see the return policy. The customization policy covers character limits, photo requirements and what we will not engrave.

If you are buying for a company, ten pieces or more are handled as a single corporate order with each recipient's own name engraved individually.
